Key West has always been a port city, so it should be no surprise that there are several marinas on the island. Casual Monday Charters uses the Hilton Resort and Marina on Stock Island, so you’ll meet us there. It’s located at the end of Peninsular Avenue, roughly a 15 minute drive (about 6 miles) from Duval Street and Old Town Key West.
Don’t for one minute think that because we’re technically on a different island that we’re far from Key West. If you’re visiting car-less, you can Uber over in just a few minutes, but it is too far to walk. Once you’re here, though, you’ll get it — Stock Island is a taste of old Key West, and the vibe is worth the drive. Plus, being on this side enables us to be all that much closer to the good backcountry boating and snorkeling that you’re after.
Find Casual Monday Charters at the Hilton Key West Resort & Marina on Stock Island
Casual Monday Charters is based at the Hilton Key West Oceans Edge Resort at the Oceanside Marina. That’s a lot of names for the same place, but I want to get them all in there so you’ll know what all the different signs mean! The good news is that no matter what you call it, the address takes you to the right place. So plug this bad boy into your map app and let’s go to the sandbar.

Key West Marina Guide In and Around Key West Harbor
There are quite a few boats in Key West, not to mention the boats that come to visit. So, as you might imagine, we have more than our fair share of marinas. The OG marinas are spread on the northwest side of the island, which is the most protected from the weather and has direct access to the main area of Key West Harbor.
If you’re a boater looking for specific information on marinas, contact details, or maximum size vessels they accept, check out the Waterway Guide Explorer website for specifics.

Historic Seaport Key West
The epicenter for boat life and culture is the Historic Seaport, Old Town’s port of call. It’s located two blocks northeast of Duval, and the basin — called the Bight — is home to several marinas.
The boardwalks and docks along the Bight are where you’ll find many of the bigger group charter boats, like the old sailing schooners and the big ferries to the Dry Tortugas and Fort Myers. The city’s Key West Bight Marina is located there, as is posh Conch Harbor Marina, which accepts yachts up to 200 feet long. Several of the other charters and deep sea fishing boats leave from these two marinas.
Along the other side of the Bight, there’s the super-swanky Galleon Resort & Marina and the A&B Marina (conveniently located under the A&B Lobster House restaurant). These are mostly visiting yachties and boaters on private vessels.
The Historic Seaport is one of the best ways to blow an afternoon in Key West, especially if you enjoy gazing at vessels of every type. The Bight is home to everything from Forest Gump shrimp boats to one-percenter megayachts, and from salty sailboats that have sailed the world to tons of gleaming white and chrome fishing boats. Plus, there are some great waterfront restaurants to discover along the docks.
Down where the cruise ships dock, along the commercial port south of Mallory Square, there are also a few docks used by charter boats as well.
Parking in Key West is always a hot issue, and these centrally located marinas are no exception. With most of these marinas, you’ll likely have to use the city garages and walk to the boats.
Garrison Bight Marina, Key West
About a mile down the road from the Historic Seaport is the Garrison Bight Marina, another city marina on the north side of the island. This marina is mostly private boats and some commercial fishermen. There’s a community of houseboats parked here that’s very authentically Key West.
Stock Island Key West Marinas
While not technically on the island of Key West, Stock Island has some of the bigger marinas in the area. And it’s only a few miles from the Harbor and Old Town, so these boats cover the same waters and geographic area. But the best thing about Stock Island — and the reason that’s where you’ll find us — is that the island provides even quicker access to the quiet backcountry and those lovely sandbars.
Hurricane Hole Marina
You can almost see Hurricane Hole from the Highway if you look quickly and through the right trees. It sits at the base of the bridge that connects Stock Island to Key West. It’s mostly smaller boats, some of them charter boats. There’s also an epic waterfront, boat-up bar.
The Perry Hotel and Marina
As you get off the Highway in Stock Island and work your way toward the Atlantic, you’ll eventually come to a huge marina basin filled with every type of boat imaginable. There’s a working boatyard and commercial dock area frequented by the shrimp boats and lobstermen of the Keys. Past that you’ll see a boatyard with a Travellift for hauling larger vessels out of the water.
At the end of the basin is the enormous Perry Hotel and Marina. The facility has nearly 300 boat slips and takes vessels up to 350 feet long. Several charter boats (all types — sandbar, fishing, snorkeling) leave from this marina.
On the east side of the same basin, you’ll find more shrimp boat docks and the Hogfish Bar & Grill. There’s also the Safe Harbor Marina Key West, but this smaller marina is mostly home to private boats.
Oceans Edge/Hilton Resort & Marina
Do a little more poking around Stock Island, driving all the way to the end of Maloney Avenue (which turns into Peninsular Avenue), you’ll come to the last of the Key West marinas. At the end of the road, there is the Stock Island Marina, where yet more charters and deep-sea fishing boats leave from.
Just before that, though, is the Hilton Marina, also known as the Oceans Edge Resort and Marina. And it’s the most important marina in Key West, because that’s where you’ll find us, Casual Monday Charters (and a few other scruffy, nerf-herding charter boats).

Key West Marina Guide FAQs
Where to park for a boat charter in Key West?
There are several marinas spread around the island, so you’ll want to double check parking arrangements with your charter company so you know where to go. If your charter leaves from the Historic Seaport near Old Town, there are several nearby city garages. If your charter leaves from one of the other Key West marinas, like those located on Stock Island, the resort/marina may have on-site parking.
How early should I arrive for my Key West boat charter?
You’ll want to check with your tour operator to see how early you should be; some marinas on the island have difficult or distant parking that requires a little extra time. Here at Casual Monday Charters, the parking at Oceans Edge Resort & Marina is pretty easy. Plan to be here 15 to 20 minutes prior to your charter time to get loaded up and ready to go.
How much does a boat slip cost in Key West?
Boat slip prices in Key West average between $4 and $11 per foot, per day. Boaters pay based on the length of their vessel and the length of their stay, and luxury resorts and top spots charge a big premium. Much like vacation rentals, a boat slip can be rented by the day, week, or month. Long-term residents may get slightly better rates by signing annual contracts. The stay for a typical 40-foot boat for one month is usually in the neighborhood of $2,500.
What are the best marinas in the Florida Keys?
The best marina depends on what kind of boater you are, but generally the best options are those closest the attractions your interested in. Picking between easy access to the bayside versus the oceanside is a key considation, particularly in the Upper Keys where cuts and bridges are limited. In Key West, check out the marinas on Stock Island to avoid Old Town crowds. In Marathon, the oceanside marinas facing Boot Key Harbor are the spot to be. In Key Largo, check out the marinas along the Key Largo canal.
Is there a fee for parking at the Key West marinas?
Most of the marinas, like the rest of the island, charge for parking. Several marinas require you to use city garages and walk to the marina. Check with your tour operator for where you should park and if there’s any sort of parking voucher available.
