We always try to arrive early because the best spectator locations fill quickly.
Personally, I like anchoring near one of the turns. The boats slow slightly before setting up for the corner, then accelerate hard coming out of it. You’ll see dramatic rooster tails, tight racing, and plenty of side-by-side action throughout the day.

What time do we leave?
We recommend departing around 9:00 AM. This gives us time to cruise to the course and secure one of the best spectator spots before the fleet of viewing boats arrives.
How long is the charter?
We offer two options:
Half-Day Race Charter
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Perfect if you’d like to catch the morning racing before heading back to town.
Full-Day VIP Charter
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Stay out for all seven races and enjoy a full day on the water.
Do we anchor or drift?
We anchor the boat so you have a stable platform to enjoy the races from the same great location all day.
Can we swim?
Absolutely. If there’s time before or after the racing, we can break out the inflatables for a swim.
Keep in mind that race week falls in early November, so while the water is still beautiful, it can feel a little cooler by Florida Keys standards.
Can we combine the races with a sandbar trip?
Definitely. One of the biggest advantages of a private charter is flexibility.
If your group wants a break from the racing or you’d like to finish the afternoon at one of Key West’s beautiful sandbars, we can easily work that into the day.
Is there music onboard?
